With a black belt in multiple martial arts, a master’s in Conflict Analysis & Engagement, and a career that bridges military programs, corporate leadership, and transformational coaching, Marie C. Stone—who moves through the world as MC—a name that’s become a voice, a brand, and movement rooted in power and vision—is a force of clarity, strength, and soul-led purpose. After years of leading high-performing sales teams in corporate America, she felt a deeper calling—one rooted in lived experience, resilience, and a fire that refused to go out. She didn’t just pivot. She transformed.
B.O.S.S. UP Defense was born not just to protect women—but to awaken them. To help them rise with confidence, move with intention, and lead their lives unapologetically—mind, body, and spirit. Blending years of hands-on martial arts expertise, workshop curriculum design, and deep work in mindset, conflict resolution, and community leadership.
MC built a framework that guides you to move with awareness, respond with intention, and lead with grounded presence. A way to lead your life with confident flow, intention and fearless alignment. She has worked with the U.S. Army’s Family & Soldier Readiness Program (AFTB, AFAP), trained facilitators in leadership and communication, and developed programs that foster resilience, self-awareness, and connection. Now, as a traveling self-defense consultant, she brings that depth into every workshop, keynote, and coaching space she enters.
Whether you meet her on a mat, in a boardroom, or at a retreat—you’ll walk away with more than skills.
You’ll leave with a mindset shift, a renewed sense of balance, and a fire in your soul.
I grew up constantly being misunderstood—too different to fit in, too bold to shrink. As a multiracial child in a military family, I moved often, lived in between cultures, and learned early on that people fear what they don’t understand. I was always asked, "What are you?"—as if I didn’t belong anywhere. But I knew I was me.
I watched my mother face unkindness simply because she was different—treated as less because she was foreign and spoke with an accent. It was never about who she was, but what others chose not to understand. From a young age, I spoke up for her, and in doing so, found my own voice. Strength wasn’t a choice—it was how we survived.
I’ve walked through fire that few ever see—conflicts that cracked me open, pain that tried to silence me, and moments so heavy I questioned if I could keep going. There were times I felt like I would break—times I questioned whether the fire inside me was a gift or a burden. But even then, something within me refused to quit.
It was mindset. It was faith. It was the unshakable belief that I was created for something more.
Every trial became a teacher.
Every crack became space for power to rise.
What tried to diminish me only refined me.
I didn’t come out of the fire the same—I emerged transformed.
I became the woman I was always meant to be: Strong in mind. Grounded in spirit. Powerful in presence. Over time, I channeled that resilience into corporate leadership, into martial arts, and into the long, messy work of healing. My studies in conflict didn’t just help me understand the world—they helped me make peace with my own. And when I began teaching self-defense to women, something awakened in me. I realized this work wasn’t just about fighting back—it was about rising into who we’re meant to be.
B.O.S.S. UP is the voice I wish I had as a young girl.
It’s the fire I carry as a woman. It’s how I help others step into their strength—unapologetically, boldly, and free.
I know this truth, no matter what you’ve faced, I know you have the power to protect your peace, reclaim your strength, and rise as the leader of your own life!
